Founded by biomechanist Katy Bowman, Nutritious Movement is a portal to an idea - that you are how you move and that you can alter your movements for a different, better outcome, once you have more information regarding how movement works. 

Katy has written eight books on human movement and diseases of captivity. 


I highly recommend Katy Bowman's books , particularly Move your DNA, Dynamic Aging & Whole Body barefoot.

Vivo - Barefoot Shoes

I'm a huge fan of the minimal footwear movement. The foot is a complex and dynamic body part, comprised of 26 bones, 33 joints, 19 muscles, 10 tendons and 107 ligaments! When we are up and moving, our feet play a critical role in balance, gait and overall stability. Traditional footwear tends to be more narrow at the toes, where your feet are actually the widest. They also tend to be over-cushioned and too rigid, leading to reduced mobility and increased stride length. This alters your gait pattern, which may result in more wear and tear on your joints, and an increased risk of injury. 


By spending more time walking with minimal shoes, or with no shoes at all, you will slowly start to regain flexibility and strength in your feet.
